A number of admirers of Fred Saberhagen's SABERHAGEN SWORDS series have written to us requesting permission to use Fred's characters in private (no money is changing hands) role playing games or in private MUDDS (multi-player on-line text based games, usually fantasy).

Sorry, but in accordance with the best legal/business advice available, Fred is no longer granting or implying permission for any gaming use when rights have not been purchased.

Fred will strongly defend his copyright and trademark in the SABERHAGEN SWORDS material.
